September Venue of the Month Crowne Plaza Sawgrass

There aren’t many hotels in West Broward that can host your events, but the ones that do exist offer plenty of reasons to keep you and your party out West.  One such venue is the Crowne Plaza Hotel Sawgrass, also known as the Crowne Plaza Sunrise. 

Recently Party Time provided DJ, Photography, Video and Lighting services for Stephanie Wallet’s Bat Mitzvah at the Crowne Plaza.  Brigitte Rivera and her staff were on hand to help create another spectacular event.  Stephanie’s theme was Under The Sea, which was created with the help of lots of balloons in the shape of bubbles, fish, and coral, as well as sunken treasure decor.  Larry Cooper of Moonlight Balloons created the Under The Sea theme, and when it was all combined with our teal and amber abient lighting it truly felt like you were under the sea! 

 

Although themed events are always popular for bar and bat mitzvahs in South Florida, sometimes working with the venues to bring the theme to life and to coordinate all the vendor services can be a challenge.  This is never the case at the Crowne Plaza Sunrise.  In fact Brigitte and I spoke several times about the event logistics over a span of a couple of months.  She invited me in for a walk through and we even had a conference call with our client.  With that level of personal attention to the event details and to the vendors, Stephanie’s Bat Mitzvah was guaranteed to be a success, and it was.

I don’t want it to seem as though this was the first time that the Crowne Plaza had a successful event, quite the opposite is true.  Party Time has performed over 50 events there over the last few years and each has been a great success.  Brigitte Rivera, is the newest Director of Catering at this property having joined the staff in July, and from what I have experienced she is the most concientious of working together with her vendors to insure the event is a success.  Their website says it best:
